Middle Georgia Baseball League

The Middle Georgia Men's Adult Baseball League is an adult league for men 18 years of age and older. We have been a part of the MABL/MSBL since 1998. We are one of over 300 local leagues across the U.S. The MABL/MSBL is nationally recognized and sanctioned by USA Baseball. Aside from a few rule changes, the MABL conforms to standard baseball rules, with Major League style uniforms and carefully kept stats.

The games are 9 innings and are usually played on Sunday's at 2 p.m. However, some games are played during the week under the lights. The games played during the week will be 7 innings. We usually try to play the games during the week Monday thru Friday nights and have a start time of 7:30 p.m..
We also have selcected Wood Bat games as well.

The league recognizes that our players work and have families. For new players entering the league there is usually a workout/draft approximately 4-6 weeks before the season begins. Each team will have a representative at the workout/draft. After the last workout/draft has been completed, the coaches from the teams get together and have a draft of the new players. The order of the draft will be from last place team up to the first place team based on final regular season standings from the previous season. The cycle will continue until all the new players have been drafted and assigned to a team. Everyone plays in this league; no one rides the bench all the time. After you have been assigned to a team, your coach will contact you about practices, uniforms and distributing information to you.

Now you are on a team and ready for the season to start. This year's regular season starts first part of April and will end at the end of August. Each team plays 25 plus regular season games. There will be a double elimination end of season tournament beginning the first of August. An All Star Gala will be held a couple of weeks after the end of the season, including the Homerun Derby.
